The Intercessory Powers of the Angels
Make yourself familiar with the angels, and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are
present with you. -- Saint Francis de Sales
Yes, the heavenly angels are everywhere. And they are most anxious to help us. They often intervene to help us in
our spiritual and temporal needs. The holy angels are also called guardian angels because they watch over us, as a
shepherd over his flock.
The general opinion of theologians is that every one has a special guardian angel who watches over him throughout
his life. Our guardian angels help us in the following ways:
- They put good thoughts into our minds, and move our will to do what is good.
- They offer our prayers and our good works to God. This is not because God does not hear our prayers,
but the angels, mingle their prayers with ours, and so make them more acceptable to God. "In all the
benefits we receive from God,” says St. Thomas, “our guardian angel takes part, because he helps in
obtaining them for us.”
- They protect us in danger. We must commit ourselves to the care of our guardian angels in all times of danger,
and before undertaking a journey, or any new enterprise like before buying and selling a home or property.
“May the angel of God accompany you!” should always be our farewell words when taking leave of family and friends.
- They often reveal to men the will of God.
So, do not fail to pray to your guardian angel asking for his help in finding the right buyer for your property or
help in finding you the perfect home or property that will fit your budget and be instrumental in bringing peace
and harmony to you and your family.
